Submit A Project Board to Emerald Evening!
Emerald Evening this year is all about YOU and we want your green building and sustainable development projects to be front and center in our celebration. One way you can help us spotlight your project is by submitting a project board that will be displayed for guests to view at our Emerald Evening Gala. All are welcome to participate! Please see the details below.
Project Board Parameters
Anyone from the building or development’s project team can submit a project board.
Submissions should include the following:
-
Project Name
-
Year Completed
-
Brief project description including:
-
Certifications (if applicable)
-
Sustainable Features, Materials, and Highlights
-
Additional applicable features, like historic preservation
-
Between 4 and 6 high-quality photos
-
Owner Name and Core Project Team
-
-
Please note that your project board should be image-heavy to make for the best display. Reach out to Leslie Montgomery if you would like feedback on your board design in advance, or if you would like to see an example project board.
Rules & Guidelines
-
Only one project board can be submitted per owner or firm.
-
Projects must be located in the Western Pennsylvania region.
-
Projects must be printed on a square kraft honeycomb cardboard sign (also sometimes called corrugated cardboard, this is a more sustainable alternative to foam core) and can select a preferred size of either 24x24, 26x26, or 30x30. No holes or grommets are necessary.
-
For consistency of display, the sign’s background should be white and the project name should be printed on the top of the board in GBA green, preferably in Century Gothic font (GBA Green is RGB 12/169/72 or CMYK 80/0/100/5)
-
Project boards must be delivered to the GBA office by the deadline. Project teams will also be required to submit your project board assets digitally for GBA to use on our website in the future.
If you are interested in submitting a board for a project still in development, please contact Leslie Montgomery.
Deadlines
August 25: Deadline for committing to a project board.
-
Please email Leslie Montgomery with your commitment to creating a project board.
September 14: Deadline for dropping off your project board and easel at GBA’s offices
September 15: Deadline for submitting all materials electronically.
There is no fee to participate, but you must cover the cost of your own printing. If the cost of printing is prohibitive to your participation, please email Leslie Montgomery.
Additional Opportunities
GBA is seeking additional ways in which we can celebrate your projects beyond our anniversary, and there may be opportunities for using these project boards in other ways in the future.
If you are open to us keeping and/or re-using your project board for other opportunities that arise in the future, please email Leslie Montgomery!
