Living Future Accreditation

Living Future Accreditation (LFA) is the professional credential that recognizes proficiency in the International Living Future Institute’s ambitious standards.

LFA is accomplished by completing a self-paced online curriculum covering key topics such as regenerative buildings and healthy materials. LFA equips individuals to take on challenges such as Living Building Challenge, Living Product Challenge, Zero Energy Certification, and Zero Carbon Certification, and to implement the principles and values these industry-transforming programs represent.

Who Is Eligible?

Students, young professionals, and professionals in a variety of fields, including (but not limited to) architecture, engineering, real estate, higher education, and landscape design, can benefit from an LFA credential.

To achieve an LFA, you must be an active member of the International Living Future Institute and complete 36 education credits, which include foundational courses and electives.

Professionals who already hold another green building credential such as LEED AP may be eligible for an LFA credential simply by completing the Foundational Curriculum.
