More About Act 129
Act 129 is a Pennsylvania law enacted in 2008 that requires the state’s largest electric utilities to reduce electricity use through energy efficiency programs. The law aims to reduce overall energy demand, improve grid reliability, and cut emissions with savings verified through measured results. Phases 4 & 5 of Act 129 continues these requirements with updated savings goals and an increased focus on long-term, cost-effective energy efficiency.
