Project Description

11 Stanwix, aptly named for its address and identifiable by its uniform design, is a testament to sustainable urban office space. The window-lined complex offers a 360-degree view of Mt. Washington and Downtown Pittsburgh that supplies the building with enough natural light to reduce energy use on lighting and improve overall efficiency. 11 Stanwix encourages sustainable alternative transportation methods by providing ample indoor bike storage fitted with lockers and showers for commuters and is accessible by both bus and light rail public transit.

Other features include a landscaped plaza with outdoor garden plots along with a greenhouse offer the option for tenants to grow their own herbs and vegetables; all light fixtures are efficient LEDs and all appliances are Energy Star rated; sustainability upgrades to the complex updated operations equipment, including energy recovery units and high efficiency boilers that cut greenhouse gas emissions by 24%.
