
Aaron Altemus

Aaron Altemus is Director of Professional and Student Learning at the Consortium for Public Education, providing personalized Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Human-Centered Design (HCD) training both locally and nationwide. Throughout his 17 years in education, Aaron also taught secondary Social Studies and English in the Wilkinsburg School District and led 21st Century STEAM after-school programs at multiple districts. His experience has committed him to helping build a more equitable and sustainable learning community in the region that is grounded in empathy and collective problem solving. Aaron is a certified trainer and facilitator of Human-Centered Design through the LUMA Institute. He has a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Pittsburgh.
