Green Building Alliance nurtures both supply and demand for healthy and high-performing buildings. In a constantly evolving industry, GBA keeps design and engineering professionals ahead of trends in demand and best practices while providing a supportive regional community of practice.

Since establishing Pittsburgh as an International Center of Excellence on High Performance Buildings with the United Nations Economic Council on Europe in 2019, GBA has stayed at the forefront of the broader UN Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction, a multi-sector alliance committed to delivering a zero emission, efficient, and resilient buildings and construction sector.
Practitioners look to GBA for insights into new topics, continuing education, behind-the-scenes perspectives on local projects, the latest frameworks and breakthroughs across the world and networking connections both at home and abroad.
GBA has trained over 450 practitioners to earn professional credentials related to the sustainable building industry. Nearly all GBA education events are eligible for credential maintenance or continuing education units through AIA and GBCI, and our trainings offer professional development opportunities for career growth.
