Partnering with Manufacturers to Advance Sustainable Operations, Products, and Practices

GBA works with manufacturers to assist them in improving operational, energy, and water efficiency; reducing waste; and making their products more sustainable and marketable. Through matchmaking, referrals, and product showcase opportunities, GBA is driving the market for sustainable products and materials, connecting manufacturers with decision makers, designers, and procurement professionals, and reducing barriers to regional sourcing.
A Track Record of Support and Success
From introductions and insights on concepts such as circularity, Life Cycle Analysis (LCAs), product labeling, and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), to identifying and pursuing funding opportunities and partnerships; to exploring opportunities to showcase your sustainable product to our network of members, the GBA team is here to help.
GBA has successfully partnered with regional manufacturers to help them achieve their sustainability goals, including Epic Metals, Berner International, and DMI Companies.
Most recently, GBA conducted a pilot Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of products manufactured by Berner and DMI. The process created interactive LCA models of the products that enable both companies to identify and evaluate product design changes to lessen environmental impact of products and product lines. The report generated can also be used as the basis for generating a third-party certified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which can boost access to markets.
