Laura Ellis

Vice President of Communications

Laura brings extensive experience in leading and implementing strategic communications across multiple sectors, including energy, environment, and sustainability; manufacturing; philanthropy; tourism; economic and community development; technology; and public health to her work at GBA. She has generated visibility for and deepened understanding of sustainability and economic development projects across the region and has led media relations and communications efforts on behalf of community, corporate, and nonprofit organizations.

Laura is responsible for telling the story of GBA’s mission, impact, and programs, as well as its efforts in establishing Western Pennsylvania as a national and global leader in sustainability, high-performance building practices, and workforce development. She holds a BA in Journalism and Communications from Point Park University.
