High Performance Building Alliance (HPBA)/Ireland

High Performance Building Alliance (Ireland) and Green Building Alliance have established a strategic transatlantic collaboration to accelerate sustainable innovation in the built environment, drive energy-efficient design, and foster innovation through shared research, cross-border pilot projects, and knowledge exchange.

International Living Future Collaborative

Green Building Alliance works with the Pittsburgh chapter of the Living Future Collaborative, which supports organizations pursuing Living Building Challenge certifications for their projects.

GBA works closely with the USGBC by presenting at conferences, collaborating with nationwide green building chapters, and reviewing content for educational initiatives.

GBA facilitates the energy planning process in the Oakland area by setting proactive milestones in energy efficiency and emissions reduction strategies.

Higher Education Climate Consortium

GBA is the fiscal sponsor of the Higher Education Climate Consortium (HEC). Member organizations include Carlow University, Carnegie Mellon University, Chatham University, Community College of Allegheny County, Duquesne University, Franco Harris Pittsburgh Center at Penn State, Point Park University, Robert Morris University, and the University of Pittsburgh.

EcoDistricts Collaborative

GBA has partnered with community organizations in Pittsburgh’s EcoDistricts to showcase the value of the EcoDistrict certification program.

Hazelwood Green

GBA consulted on the redevelopment of this brownfield site, helping the project achieve its LEED for Neighborhood Development certification.

Uptown EcoInnovation District

Serving as chair of the infrastructure sub-committee for this project, GBA contributed to the revitalization of Oakland in this groundbreaking project.

Allegheny County Green Cleaning Consultation

GBA has worked with Allegheny County to promote the use of green cleaning products and policies in city buildings.
