The High Performance Building Alliance (HPBA), Ireland’s leading force for innovation in the built environment, and Green Building Alliance have established a strategic partnership to accelerate global efforts to decarbonize the built environment, drive energy-efficient design, and foster innovation through shared research, cross-border pilot projects, and knowledge exchange.

HPBA and the GBA were original members of the UNECE’s High Performance Buildings Initiative (HPBI) and have a shared mission to transform how buildings are designed, constructed, and operated.

HPBA and GBA have joined forces to:

“This collaboration is about bold action. It’s about connecting ecosystems across borders to accelerate the transformation of our buildings, our systems, and ultimately, our future. Together with GBA, we’re not just sharing knowledge—we’re building a transatlantic innovation bridge that supports real change on both sides of the ocean.”

Amanda Stewart, CEO of HPBA

“We’re excited to partner with HPBA to strengthen global collaboration to innovate solutions for a sustainable built environment. The challenges we face—climate change, future proofing our buildings, efficiency, health, and affordability—demand international cooperation and local action. This partnership exemplifies that spirit.”

Jenna Cramer, CEO of GBA
