A Strategic Transatlantic Collaboration to Accelerate Sustainable Innovation in the Built Environment

The High Performance Building Alliance (HPBA), Ireland’s leading force for innovation in the built environment, and Green Building Alliance have established a strategic partnership to accelerate global efforts to decarbonize the built environment, drive energy-efficient design, and foster innovation through shared research, cross-border pilot projects, and knowledge exchange.

HPBA and the GBA were original members of the UNECE’s High Performance Buildings Initiative (HPBI) and have a shared mission to transform how buildings are designed, constructed, and operated.

HPBA and GBA have joined forces to:

Co-develop transatlantic education projects focused on net zero and circular design principles.
Establish new innovation pathways to bridge research and commercialisation in both regions.
Open supply chains and market access for next-generation sustainable building products.
Exchange expertise and best practices in regenerative design, smart buildings, workforce training, and policy development.
